Clogged Kitchen Sink | How to Unclog Your Kitchen Sink Drain

Use boiling water:

Heat the water in a separate utensil. After removing the standing water, pour that boiled water into it and wait for five to six minutes. If the boiled water becomes standing water then clog remains. Cooldown the water and then remove it with the help of a jug.

Garbage disposal:

Improper functioning of a garbage disposal can also be the cause of a clogged kitchen sink. Inspect garbage disposal; is it working properly? Is it heated? If it is heated then turn it off and do start after some time. Also do check whether anything hasn’t stuck in it. Use tongs or pliers to remove any material that has been stuck between the blades. A garbage disposal can also be switched off due to heat in this case you need to restart it.

Use baking soda and vinegar:

Before the implementation of this method try to remove any standing water from it. Pour a cup of vinegar and baking soda into the sink. Wait for 15 minutes, add hot water and see if the clog clears or is going to clear. Repeat this process so that water starts draining normally.

Clean the pipe:

  • Put a bucket for water that is in your sink
  • Remove the pipe and then try to remove waste from it.
